A couple in love had to make a hasty and awkward escape from their car when it ended up in a river with them in the backseat.
The couple had sex in the spacious 2020 Range Rover near the Schuylkill River in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, around 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
While the couple was enjoying their lovemaking, a stray branch accidentally pushed the gearshift into the forward position, causing the SUV to roll away.

The white Range Rover was finally pulled from the river around 9am
Before they knew it, the car tipped over the edge into the river, near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge, and began to sink.
Both the man and the woman were able to escape the car before it disappeared under water, but it was a very painful journey back to dry land.
The car’s headlights cast an eerie green light across the water until the fire department arrived.
The white Range Rover was finally pulled from the river around 9am.
On August 16, a car was also driven into the river at the same location. According to police, no one was found inside.
Both the man and woman were able to escape from the car before it sank, but they faced a very embarrassing trek back to dry land.
