UFC veteran Alexander Volkov had his hair combed between rounds before defeating Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event in Saudi Arabia.

Volkov claimed victory on points after three rounds in the all-Russia heavyweight fight in Riyadh, with the judges scoring the bout 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 in his favor.

Fans were stunned to see the 35-year-old getting his hair combed between the two intervals as he followed instructions from his trainers.

However, the bizarre incident did not affect his performance in the ring as he dominated the fight and had doubled Pavlovich’s tally when it came to total strikes and significant hits.

Fans responded on social media with one statement: “Attention to appearance has become part of the battle.”

“Having your hair combed between rounds gives a huge vibe to the main character,” said a fourth.

Tensions flared at the end of the fight when a bloodied Pavlovich shoved Volkov before walking away.

Commenting on the incident, Volkov said in his post-fight interview: “I don’t know. I just came to thank you for a great fight.

‘He was angry because I argued with him. but it was nothing bad for him, it just made all the people like our fight.”

The pair are friends and have trained together countless times, with eyebrows raised when they both agreed to do the fight.
