One of Australia’s most famous TV stars and his wife have made a big announcement: the couple are expecting their first child.
Bondi Rescue worker Trent Maxwell shared a series of photos on Instagram showing him and his hairstylist wife Tahlia embracing on the beach as she shows off her growing baby bump.
The caption on the photos read: “Baby Maxwell is coming.”
Fans were happy with the news and friends and fans rushed to congratulate him.
“I’m so happy for you guys,” one woman wrote.
‘Two of the best, soon three.’
Trent and Tahlia, who have been together for 11 years, married in February 2020 in an intimate ceremony on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Shortly after the wedding, he told New Idea that he was looking forward to becoming a father and wanted to pass on the advice he received from his own father to his children.

“He always told me, ‘Be a hard worker, put your head down and don’t complain, just do it and get the job done,’” he said.
“My father is a hardworking man and I am fortunate to have inherited his workaholic traits. We are always working, but I don’t give in easily. If I put my mind to something and focus my thoughts on something, I will succeed.”
Trent, known as ‘Maxi’ on the show, was the youngest professional lifeguard ever to work at Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach, appearing in 17 of the show’s 18 seasons.
In 2016 he became a firefighter and works at Bankstown Fire Station in the south-west of the city.
