Bakery owner Kathleen Lochel has been sharing the progress of her candy experiment on social media, reporting earlier today that “political cookies are sold out for Saturday.”

As of Friday morning, the small business had sold a total of 5,200 Trump cookies, compared to just 500 Harris cookies.

“I think people everywhere support Trump,” Lochel said Fox & Friends First.

The bakery claimed, “In Pennsylvania, almost all shipping is red. We have only shipped seven packages blue in the state of Pennsylvania.”

Lochel said she came up with the idea while brainstorming “out-of-the-box” ideas during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We saw that in 2020 as well,” says the shop owner about the larger quantity of red cookies sold.

“A third of that is shipped to the United States. We’re seeing people from all over the world buying these cookies now.

“They tell us stories. A lot of people are angry about the cost of things right now and they vent their frustrations to us, but we stay neutral and love everything.”

Lochel has hosted the candy poll since 2012 and has predicted the outcomes of three of the last four elections, with her winning streak ending after the 2020 election. Fox29 reported that a friend of hers, a baker living in Minnesota, adopted her idea for an election prediction.

Before the last presidential election, Lochel’s Bakery sold a total of 31,804 Trump cookies and only 5,750 Biden cookies.

After the Sept. 10 debate, Vice President Kamala Harris holds a five percentage point lead over Donald Trump among registered voters, recent polls show.

The two candidates met for the first time Tuesday during the ABC News debate in Philadelphia and exchanged words for more than an hour and a half about abortion, the economy and foreign policy.

A poll by DailyMail.com found that Harris won the debate and appeared the most presidential, while Trump was considered the most aggressive.
