A peculiar dashcam of a celebrity ‘Karen’ blocking traffic to take pictures of another motorist after her car collided with his vehicle has divided the internet.
The shocking incident took place on Tuesday morning on Burke Road in Kew, Melbourne’s east.
The dashcam showed the woman in a red BMW hatchback trying to overtake the other driver on the narrow road.
The hatchback struck the front of the vehicle before both drivers came to a stop, forcing oncoming traffic to also stop.
The woman, wearing jeans, a blazer and black sunglasses, got out of the BMW and began taking photos of the male driver.
The angry man forced the woman to move her car and pull into a side street so the two could exchange license plate and registration information.
“Just go around the corner and we can exchange information,” the man said.
The woman was seen gesturing with her hands, after which the man said: ‘That’s fine, I have dashcam footage, you can have it.’

The woman continued taking photos and then walked around the front of her car to get a clearer photo with her phone.
“Turn the corner and stay out of the way,” the man shouted.
Eventually, the woman got back into her car and the two drivers pulled over to the side of the road.
Footage of the incident went viral after being posted online.
Many viewers were strongly against the woman because she accidentally tried to overtake.
“Why do they think they have so many rights and that they own the road because they have expensive cars?” one viewer commented.
Another added: ‘Overtaking on the outside, where there is no lane at all, and then merging carelessly – that BMW driver needs to hand in her license.’
Others called her a “Karen,” an informal term for someone perceived as spoiled or excessively demanding.
“Why do all the Karens pose the same way when taking a picture?” wrote one viewer.
Another added: ‘Why do they think they have so many rights and own the road just because they have expensive cars?’

Others praised the male driver for being alert to oncoming traffic.
“It’s nice to see a motorist thinking of other drivers,” someone wrote.
However, some viewers believed that the man himself was responsible for the minor accident, as he had not given way.
“Dashcam is to blame if he doesn’t use his indicator. Blind Harry knows those lanes are converging,” someone commented.
Motorists are urged to check that the road is clear before safely overtaking another vehicle.
Dozens of motorists criticised the driver of the BMW (pictured) for trying to accidentally overtake the other vehicle, while some blamed the male driver for not giving way.
Drivers should check their mirrors and blind spots for motorcycles and other vehicles, and should use turn signals to warn other drivers of their intention to overtake.
Motorists should also be aware of side streets and other lanes nearby to make sure no other cars are entering the road before passing.
Drivers in Victoria who illegally overtake another vehicle can be fined between $288 and $385 for the offence and may receive two demerit points.
