Abbie Chatfield forced Kyle Sandilands to apologize over ‘slut-shaming’ comments he made on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in a very awkward interview two years ago.
Kyle and his co-host Jackie O Henderson interviewed Abbie’s boyfriend Adam Hyde on their radio show on Wednesday when they asked him about his relationship.
‘I don’t think so [Abbie] is a fan of mine. I think there was a mistake,” Kyle admitted.
Jackie then suggested that the radio duo call Abbie live on air to “clear the air.”
After answering the phone, Kyle explained, “Adam told me something that shocked me. I thought I was always positive… but I heard you didn’t like me.’
Abbie explained, “I didn’t like the way you talked about me… you said things that are careless and hurtful to me and to women who are listening in the car and hear you imply that dating a lot of people is a bad thing is.’
“It was a huge implication of slut-shaming and if you meant it in a different way that’s fine, but the whole conversation made me feel uncomfortable.”
“I’ve never not liked you,” Kyle clarified.

“It was Brittany Hockley’s fault… I always thought you were great, but Brittany on the other hand, I can’t speak for her,” he added, referring to his then-co-host.
Abbie then continued to insist that Kyle apologize for ‘his actions’, before asking him to emulate her in a very awkward moment.
“Say I’m sorry that my careless words implied slut-shaming. It was never my intention, but I’m still sorry,” she said.
Abbie came out guns blazing against Kyle and Brittany in December 2022, accusing the pair of “slut shaming” her during a radio segment.
The podcaster let go of Kyle and Brittany after they joked about her dating during an interview with Yung Gravy on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

The pair made the comments after the American rapper, whose real name is Matthew Raymond Hauri, confirmed he was on a date with Abbie.
After the musician said they had made plans to meet again, Kyle replied, “You and everyone else. Get in line, my friend, get in line!’
“I think we have a date planned,” Gravy added, to which Brittany replied, “I have no doubt about it.”
A furious Abbie responded on an episode of her podcast It’s A Lot, accusing the pair of spreading “misogynistic rhetoric” about her.
They then called Abbie, who continued to insist that Kyle apologize for ‘his actions’ before asking him to repeat her in a very awkward moment.
“The problem that people like Kyle and Brittany have with me is that I can talk about sexuality in a way that isn’t shameful, and they think that means hanging out, having sex every day. one day,” she said.
“When actually I don’t have the shame that they have, so they project it onto me,” she added.
“Say what you want about me, but don’t keep repeating slut-shaming bulls**t on the biggest radio show in the country.”
She also shared a lengthy post about the incident on Instagram, saying she was “incredibly disappointed to hear Kyle and Brittany slut-shamed me.”
