Warzone devs double down on Solos removal & players are furious

Solos was removed from Warzone in Season 4 and replaced with the Casual version, but many players were hoping the change would be reverted soon after. However, the devs are sticking to their guns and there’s no sign of it returning just yet.

Warzone Casual was a welcome addition when it arrived back in Season 3, giving players who want a break from the sweatiness of regular BR matches a place to practice against bots. Then, in Season 4, the devs took things one step further by introducing Solo Casual, which completely replaced the traditional Solos playlist.

This was met with plenty of backlash, and given that Raven said they would be “closely monitoring player feedback,” many expected the decision to be changed very soon.

But following the latest playlist update, there’s no sign of Solos returning for at least another week.

Solos is still missing from Warzone

On June 11, the playlist update for the next seven days was revealed, confirming that Casual Solos would be remaining in place until June 18 at the earliest. So, those who don’t have a squad to team up with are forced to either battle it out against bots or play with randoms in Duos or Quads.

After the angry response, players had hoped that the playlist would be reintroduced within a couple of weeks, so many were frustrated to see that this wouldn’t be the case.

“This is ridiculous. Where is Solo?!” asked one player on Reddit.

I will never understand why they keep doing this. Is there anyone who is asking for this?” said another reply. “Why is their only solution picking random modes each time??? Is this some sort of rage-bait engagement farming?”

Some even felt that this might be the beginning of a new era of Warzone where bots are featured more heavily. Popular streamer ModernWarzone posted asking if bots will “take over” or if it’s all part of a test, and the response was pretty unanimous.

“Bots will be in everything but ranked by the end of the year,” said fellow streamer TacticalBrit.

“I think they will slowly add casual modes to all squad sizes. Most likely quads or ranked will be the only way to play real players,” added another reply.

Warzone refreshes its playlist every single Thursday, so we’ll have to wait and see if regular Solos makes a comeback anytime soon. Beyond that, the Season 4 Reloaded update is expected on June 26, so it could return then.
