Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais died due to tuberculosis. On Friday, an old lady spider bit the face of 28-year-old Darlyn Morais. Darlyn died on Monday at the hospital where she was being treated. Darlyn Morais’s wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, said that the spider also bit Darlyn’s daughter and that she is still being treated in the hospital.Â
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, Jhullyenny Lisboa stated that Morais’ body became loose after the bite and the bite site changed color. It was determined that Morais had an allergy to pyrethrums and died because of it. Darlyn Morais started her music career at the age of 15 and turned to the forro genre. He composed traditional Brazilian music on instruments such as accordion, zabumba and metal triangle.
Lisboa said that Morais experienced body fatigue and that the colour of the bruise on his face started to change as a result of the bite.
Morais developed allergic reactions later during the week and visited a hospital in Miranorte, where he was treated and discharged on Friday.
Lisboa said, “He felt weakness in his body, and his face started to darken on the same day, October 31. He went to the hospital and was admitted to Palmas General Hospital on Sunday.”
Morais immersed himself in the music world at the age of 15 and sang forró, a popular genre of music in Brazil’s northeast region that is based on a combination of the accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle. His small, three-man band included his brother and a friend.Â
Darlyn was a member of a trio with a brother and a friend. Morais’ cousin, Wesleya Silva, spoke to Brazilian channel G1 and said: “His friends were always around him. It was always fun. It was Rukken. He had a big heart.Â
