“They tried to put me in prison” – Ryan Garcia stripped of access to his phone, social media, and credit cards
Ryan Garcia wants his family and fans to know he is alive and “okay” … but his current situation is far from pleasant — claiming he has been stripped of access to his phone, Instagram and finances.

TMZ Sports has obtained a video statement from King Ryan himself … where he explains he has no idea what is happening, but he believes he’s being exploited.

“Hey guys, it’s Ryan,” the 24-1 boxing superstar says in the clip. “I’m coming on here to explain what’s going on. I’m not in possession of my phone, I can’t get access to my Instagram. My cards are locked. I’m being really taking advantage [of].”

Recently his behaviour online and in person has sparked disquietude, when he first suggested he was high during an interview.

He has since seen further concern from members of the boxing community, after making a suggestion he was being attacked or killed.

Garcia’s dad was quick to shut down any rogue meaning of the post, insisting he was ‘trolling’.

Ryan Garcia’s ex-wife has claimed that the troubled boxer is alive but vaguely added that he is being ‘heavily oppressed’ amid allegations of drug use as he prepares for his rematch with Devin Hanley on April 20 in New York.

Her message came hours after Garcia sparked concern among fans and fellow boxers after a disturbing video was posted to his social media accounts showing the camera shaking and a glimpse of an unidentifiable man in a house.

His dad, Henry Garcia, provided an update on Sunday saying that while his son was just trolling followers, there were larger issues at play.

In January, Garcia announced the birth of his son, Henry Leo, on the same day he announced his divorce from the child’s mother, his then-wife Andrea Celina. The couple also has a daughter, Bela, 3, together.

They married in 2021. Divorce filings indicate that they parted ways on December 25th due to unspecified ‘irreconcilable differences.’

“If all my followers, who are believers, can you please pray for Ryan?,” she wrote. “We are not together, and I’ve been in contact with him.

” He may seem fine, but he is not. I know in my heart that he is being heavily oppressed. This is not a troll. I am genuinely concerned, and so are all his family members.

“We are not part of any of this, but this is real. Pray for him.”

Garcia previously took a break from the sport in 2021 for several months to manage his mental health, during which he insisted he a ‘lost a step’ in his boxing career.
