Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that TMZ Confirms Tory Lanez has been moved to general population (gen pop) in prison.
In the meantime, rumors started circulating on Wednesday that Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was released from prison. It turns out those rumors were spread by his fans on X, former Twitter, prompting his father, Sonstar Peterson, to address the matter. Some court reporters also say they were bombarded with questions by fans as the rumor spread like wildfire.
According to TMZ, one of Lanez’s lawyers, Ceasar McDowell, Lanez revealed that he would like to be placed in the general population. Lanez is currently placed in a protective wing for high-profile inmates but wants general treatment.
Tory Lanez reportedly wants to be moved to the general population. Last week, Lanez was transported to a prison and has been isolated in his cell. Lanez currently gets frequent guard checks and escorts to meals but wants to be moved to a more normal treatment. According to McDowell, Lanez believes he can handle himself and thinks he can fit in with prison culture. Tory Lanez’s typical schedule in prison includes waking up around 6 AM at the North Kern State Prison for breakfast and then proceeding to either do work duties or take part in classes. Among the jobs inmates typically do include fixing air conditioners, plumbing, and carpentry, according to a rep for California Correctional Institution.
Lanez also has the opportunity to earn certificates and even a master’s degree while he serves his time.
