The WGA has threatened legal action against Amazon for keeping certain shows on hold after the strike ended.

The ‘SILK’ series is one of the shows still suspended. Following the strike, several projects are still in the dark and there have been no updates to resume these projects including Marvel’s Silk: Spider Society at Amazon. The staff writers previously involved in the project are not getting paid and this has escalated the tension further.Hollywood’s TV and film writers have immediately plunged back into work mode, with studios across town reviving writers rooms and resetting production schedules.

But one major studio curiously has kept a few of its shows on ice that were already underway pre-strike, and the Writers Guild of America isn’t too happy about it.

The update of Silk: Spider Society was exciting for many as Amazon Studios promised to bring a show following fan-favorite character, Cindy Moon. However, the studio has shown no intention to resume the previously announced show to push towards production. WGA is not happy about this and threatened to take legal action. As per an exclusive report from The Ankler, WGA has sent a letter to the Studios. “WGAW has notified Amazon Studios,” WGA told the outlet.
