Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Superman lose to godzilla considered as the biggest fraud of all time.
After all, the preview pages for issue two are live, and it is there fans can see Superman and Godzilla duking it out. The pages follow Superman as he tries to pull his fight with Godzilla away from the city, but his efforts are in vain. Despite using his full strength to hit Godzilla, the titan does not even flinch, and he instead bats Superman away with his tail like a bug. The hit seems to do lasting damage to Superman, and it didn’t take long for fans to piece together the reason why: radiation.
Sure, Superman may get his power from the sun, but the planet’s nuclear energy is very different from what Godzilla puts out. While iterations of Superman change by series and writer, the character is consistently weak to radiation. The weakness is seen with Kryptonite as the mineral harms Superman through its unique radiation. Also, previous comics have shown Superman tackling nukes on Earth and being weakened by proximity alone. There is no denying radiation and Superman do not mix… and Godzilla is the living embodiment of radiation.
In a preview for Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong #2 by Brian Buccellato and Christian Duce, Superman is shown trying to confront the kaiju in an effort to move the fight away from Metropolis. However, his attempts are met with no avail. As Superman delivers the first punch, he’s quickly tailwhipped into a building like it’s nothing.
This stunning feat of strength by the King of Monsters ultimately proves that his power level is greater than fans could have ever expected. He’s officially stronger than Superman himself, and given that he fends off the hero so easily with just his tail, it can be assumed that he could take even stronger beatings than that. It’s not like Superman is the end-all-be-all definition of strength in the DC Universe since there are numerous things that can beat him, including Cyborg Superman. However, having the ability to easily knock down the Man of Steel is nothing to laugh off. This means that Godzilla is also capable of beating other Kryptonians easily, including Supergirl and General Zod. Plus, his strength can withstand fights against more god-level threats such as Darkseid and even Doomsday, given how easily he disposed of Superman without a fight.
