Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Wanted gangster murdered sub inspector, Deepak Sharma, during shootout in GMC Kathua.
A gangster was killed and a probationary sub-inspector (SI) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police died after sustaining head injuries during a shootout within the premises of the Government Medical College (GMC) in Kathua late Tuesday night.
The police identified the deceased sub-inspector as Deepak Sharma of Udhampur and said he was posted at Ramgarh police station in Samba district. A special police officer (SPO) was also injured in the shootout, the police added.
The shootout as per police sources was reported when police team conducted raids some wanted criminals in a murder case.
Police however, in a message said that firing incident took place at about 2235 hours between police and gangsters in Government Medical College Kathua.
In shootout, they said that one PSI Deepak Sharma got injured and one gangster died.
