Semih Çelik murdered two 19 year old girls, İkbal Uzuner and Ayşenur Halil. He slit Ayşenur’s throat and dismembered İkbal Uzuner on top of the city walls. He threw her various body parts to the street, including her severed head. READ MORE HERE

The incident occurred around 16:00 on Fevzipaşa Street in Derviş Ali Neighborhood. After dismembering Iqbal Uzuner’s body, Semih Çelik threw her head and some parts of her body down from the Edirnekapı walls. Tying a rope around his neck, Çelik committed suicide by jumping off the walls.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams took extensive security measures in the area, Çelik, who received first aid at the scene from medical teams, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Çelik died in the hospital. It was learned from Çelik’s father’s statement that Çelik had received psychological treatment 5 times, had gone missing twice, and had previously attempted suicide.
