Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Turkish journalist, Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, exposed Lucas Digne with leaked document of contract with Galatasaray after player denied.
The Frenchman is being linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray this summer.
However, Digne has refuted those claims, stating that he is very much a Villa player at present.
Sports Digitale reporter Yağız Sabuncuoğlu stated: “Galatasaray reached an agreement with Lucas Digne and made an official offer to Aston Villa. Cenk Ergün started talks with Monchi.”
Following up to that post on X, Digne wrote: “Sorry but no true,” and added three laughing face emojis.
Digne faces a lot of competition this season, from both Alex Moreno and £37.5 million new signing Ian Maatsen from Chelsea.
This has been part of a massive shake-up in the Villa squad as they prepare for their upcoming campaign.
One of the biggest signings so far this summer was the acquisition of left-back Ian Maatsen from Chelsea. Villa had an insecure in defence in 2024, with the new addition no doubt aiming to put an end to the club’s leaky backline.
However, this has potentially cast doubts on Lucas Digne’s future, with the full-back no longer guaranteed game time.
