Fani Willis’ alleged lover, Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade, spent more than $1,000 on airline tickets so he and the Fulton County District Attorney could travel together while he was investigating former President Donald Trump.
Bank statements that are part of Wade’s divorce case show Willis’ name on airfare purchases amid questions about why Wade – who doesn’t have much prosecutorial experience – was hired, and allegations they were having an affair.Â
Adding: ‘I think that what citizens are really, really concerned about is if you chose to have inappropriate contact with employees,’ she continued.Â
‘There’s nothing I can say on it other than that it is distracting, it is certainly inappropriate for the No. 1 law officer in this state, and it really really saddens me,’ she said.
Willis added it would be ‘very unfortunate if the taxpayers of this community have to pay for any of those lawsuits.’
The Fulton County District attorney will appear before Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on February 15 over allegations that she had an improper relationship with attorney Nathan Wade.
