Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Moroccan asylum seeker, Hasan Hamis, stabbed police officer, Christian Di Martino, in the back 3 times in Lambrate, Milan, Italy.

A 36-year-old Egyptian was injured in the shoulder last night in Milan after attacking some policemen outside the Central station. After trying to stop him with the taser, one of the officers shot and hit him. The man, whose life is not in danger, had just been reported and was going berserk and damaging street furniture by brandishing stones. This is an applicant for international protection, who was apparently under the influence of drugs..

He tries twice and both times the taser bolts hit the target. But the man who continues to scream and throw stones from the embankment of the Lambrate station is covered by a jacket that neutralizes the discharges. Deputy Inspector Christian Di Martino decides in an instant: to stop the frantic man from fleeing and prevent him from getting shot, he throws himself at him and tackles him.
But a 20 centimeter red knife appears from Hasan Hamis’s sleeve. The attacker strikes three blows, two of which tear the policeman’s abdomen. To save him, on the operating table at Niguarda, seven hours of surgery, forty bags of blood and thirty of plasma, plus five defibrillator shocks will be needed to avoid as many heart attacks. Sedated in intensive care, the 35-year-old patrol leader of the Zara 4th shift squad is stable but not yet out of danger.

Hamis is the archetype of the alarm raised a few days ago by the outgoing police commissioner Giuseppe Petronzi: irregular, multiple recidivist, armed, aggressive. And never checked in Milan before last night. He is the conductor of one of the trains stoned to report it to the Polfer station, shortly after 11pm on Wednesday. They don’t have time to reach him between the sleepers along platform 12 when one of the stones thrown flies down into the street and hits 55-year-old Claudia F. on the head, who at that time was going up to the station for the night shift. The officers dodge more rocks and call for reinforcements: “We need a patrol authorized to use the taser.”

Di Martino’s car arrives from the Police Headquarters and that of the local police station but the six policemen are unable to calm the fury of the 37-year-old Moroccan who starts running in a southerly direction. The deputy inspector activates the laser pointer of the electric gun and presses the trigger in vain, then decides to move on to melee but collapses to the ground in a pool of blood, with his duodenum and a kidney pierced by the blows to his back: the race against time and the skill of Niguarda’s surgeons saved him from a fate that already seemed sealed.
