Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that MOLEJO group singer, Anderson Leonardo, confirmed dead after battle with groin cancer.
Singer Anderson Leonardo, from Grupo Molejo, died this Friday (26), in Rio de Janeiro. The confirmation was made through a publication on the pagode group’s social networks. Anderson was facing cancer. He was 51 years old and was admitted to the Unimed-Rio Hospital.
“Our warrior Anderson Leonardo fought bravely, but unfortunately he was defeated by cancer, but he will always be remembered by all his family, friends and his immense legion of fans, for his genius, strength and love of the stage and Molejo”, wrote the group.
The singer leaves four children, Alissa, Leozinho Bradock, Rafael Felipe and Alice. The latter, the youngest, was born in 2020, after the artist was already a grandfather.
“Our warrior ANDERSON LEONARDO fought bravely, but unfortunately was defeated by cancer, but he will always be remembered by all his family, friends and his immense legion of fans, for his genius, strength and love of the stage and MOLEJO. His presence and joy were a light that illuminated the lives of everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten, we love you.”
The artist had been fighting cancer in the inguinal region, in the groin area, since 2022 and, on the morning of this Friday (26), Anderson Leonardo’s health condition worsened. He was admitted to the Intensive Treatment Unit (ICU) at Hospital Unimed, in Barra da Tijuca. The wake will take place next Sunday, April 28, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The ceremony will take place at the Jardim da Saudade Cemetery, in Sulacap.
