Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie is a film based on Nickelodeon’s hit TV show SpongeBob SquarePants. In this movie, when Bikini Bottom is suddenly scooped out of the ocean, Sandy Cheeks and SpongeBob journey to Sandy’s home state of Texas, where they meet Sandy’s family and must save Bikini Bottom from the hands of an evil CEO.
The voice cast includes Carolyn Lawrence as Sandy Cheeks and Tom Kenny as SpongeBob SquarePants. Others include Wanda Sykes, Clancy Brown, Bill Fagerbakke, Mr. Lawrence, Rodger Bumpass, Johnny Knoxville, Craig Robinson, Grey DeLisle, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, and Matty Cardarople.
Bikini Bottom has been stolen. Sandy Cheeks and SpongeBob watch in disbelief as everyone’s favorite town is scooped out of the ocean by a sinister, mysterious company. Now, Sandy and SpongeBob must go on an epic quest to Sandy’s home state of Texas and enlist her family to help save Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs and the rest of the gang before time runs out.
In April 2023, Netflix announced that Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie will be released on the streaming service over the next 18 months. If the timeline is followed, viewers can expect the movie to be released sometime between early to mid-2024.
