COLLAPSED VIDEO: Former Flames goalkeeper, Charles Swini, burial arrangements not known yet as he died at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after battling with Kidney stones problem for months

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Charles Swini Burial arrangements not known yet as he died at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after battling with Kidney stones problem for months. 
Former Flames goalkeeper Charles Swini has died this morning in Lilongwe after battling with Kidney stones problem for months.

His close friend Rodney Domingo told us that the late Swini has died today at Kamuzu Central hospital where he was rushed to yesterday after collapsing at his home. 

Swini was a member of the Flames squad of the 2010 Africa cup of nations and was a regular after the retirement of Swadick Sanudi.

Burial arrangements are not yet known.
The football fraternity in the country mourns the death of Charles Swini,  
former Silver Strikers and national team goalkeeper.

Swini, joined Silver in 2011 until 2013. He was part of the squad that won the TNM super league for the Central Bankers.

A statement from the club reads in part: “Silver Strikers FC Board, Secretariat, players and fans are deeply saddened by the loss of Charles Swini, a cherished former goalkeeper and esteemed member of our club. As we mourn his passing, our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and all who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his remarkable legacy continue to inspire us all.” 

Football Association of Malawi president Fleetwood Haiya has also issued his condolence message for the departed player.

“It is with great sadness that we have lost former goalkeeper in our elite league and the national squad Mr Charles Swini.

“He enriched our game immeasurably and touched our hearts. Our thoughts are with his family and all fans during this difficult time. May the soul of Charles Swini rest in eternal peace,” reads the condolence message from Haiya.

Swini was born in 1985 and had 33 caps for the National team according to Football Association of Malawi archives.

He debuted for the national team in October 2009 in the game that Malawi lost 1-0 to Mozambique.
