Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Rand Water exec, Teboho Joala, killed and shot dead in hit attack in Zakariyya Park.
The Rand Water executive killed in a suspected hit has been identified as Teboho Joala, the entity’s chief shared services officer.
Joala was shot and killed in full view of over 70 primary school pupuls at the Zakariyya Park Community Hall, south of Johannesburg on Monday.
His bodyguard was also killed in the shooting. Police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi: “It is reported that an unknown number of suspects entered the hall where there was a donation function and started shooting before fleeing the scene with an unknown white vehicle.”
Rand Water spokesperson Makenosi Maroo said the incident occurred shortly after 9am.
“As an organisation, we are shocked and devastated at the tragic passing of our treasured colleague.”
