Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that 23-year-old COD player, Inquisitor Ghost’s real name was Vincent Plicchi before he committed suicide by hanging himself on TikTok live video.
Behind that mask, the 23-year-old probably hid his torments: he was looking for people to share his passions with, performing in short clips on TikTok with a lightsaber borrowed from the Star Wars imagery. In his online appearances Vincent played with the cat, danced, sang or played the acoustic guitar. When Vincent chose to take his own life, many were watching the live broadcast of Inquisitor Ghost, his virtual avatar. To try to help him, someone tried to call 118, but it was all in vain.
Inquisitor, also called Inquisitor Ghost and Inquisitore3, has gained a following of close to 200,000 devotees on TikTok, thanks to his series of posts cosplaying as the character Simon “Ghost” Riley from the Call of Duty franchise. His content often incorporates song, dance, and the regular addition of a red lightsaber to the traditionally Sith-free ensemble.
For those uninitiated, a video game skin refers to a graphic download that changes the appearance of a character one is playing with.
The petition read:
“This would not only fulfil his dream but also serve as an enduring tribute that recognizes his impact within the gaming community.”
The petition also read that fans believe that the skin would inspire gamers while keeping their “friend’s memory alive”.
The video, which has since been scrubbed from the platform, purportedly displayed a dark and featureless room, followed by the sound of breaking glass, CPR being performed, and cries of frustration and anger in Italian. Videos uploaded by users claiming to have inside information in the days that followed claimed that the intervention came too late, and that the 23-year-old internet personality had died.
The petition was created by Inquisitor SKIN – Chonkicat on October 11, in hopes of honoring the Italian influencer. They addressed the same to Activision and the Call Of Duty creators. They revealed that Inquisitore3 would usually mix the Simon Ghost Riley character along with Star Wars elements.
The hypothesis is that the young man from Bologna was the victim of cyberbullying: accused by a 17-year-old girl (and her alleged boyfriend) of having harassed her in some way, complete with screenshots sent on purpose, to the point of lashing out against him a campaign of hate. “The only way he found to defend himself from dishonor and prove his innocence was to take his own life”, were the words full of anger and desperation of his father. “Guys, be careful of these communities” – his message – “live your life in reality, I can’t believe that today I’m burying my son. He who for me, his brother and his little sister was a pure heart”.
