Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Chidima Vanessa Onwe father, Okey Wawa, arrived in South Africa with tourist visa in 2010 during the World Cup.
Mzansi is stunned after hearing her alleged father’s story about how she was born in South Africa. It seems the story has done more harm than good. The man in the video states that he arrived in Mzansi in 2010 for the World Cup with a visitor’s visa and attended the games with Chidinma’s mother. He also alleges that they did not have children then.
When the man is asked whether he considers his children South African or Nigerian, he states that they are both. He said,
“It’s called dual citizenship, they’re both. They are Nigerian kids that have every single right that you have as a South African.”
The clip of the interview was posted by TikTok user thebensteshshow. Mzansi wondered how old Chidinma is if she was born in or after 2010.
In the clip, the man says: “I’m a Nigerian, and my wife is a South African, and I spent ten years in South Africa.”
The man – who makes no mention of Chidimma – confirmed that his children were SA citizens and that they bore his surname.
He continued: “I met my wife in the UK, she is a South African. In 2010, during the World Cup, we decided that we were going to visit South Africa. At that time, we didnt have children. That was my first time entering South Africa…
“With a visitor visa, I got married to my wife in South Africa.”
