More horrifying details are coming to light about the murder of Sara — known by many in the LGBTIQ+ community as Milerey.

Sara’s life was taken in an act of pure hatred. Her attackers brutally beat her, breaking both her arms and legs. After the assault, they threw her into a ravine, leaving her to drown.

She was still alive when help arrived and was rushed to a medical center, but the pain and trauma she endured were too much. She didn’t survive.

This was not just a random crime — this was a hate-fueled, transphobic attack that reflects a much larger issue. Violence against the LGBTIQ+ community is still happening, and it’s happening with shocking cruelty.

Authorities, including the Mayor’s Office of Bello and the National Police, are now investigating the case. But justice must go beyond just an investigation — this cannot be another tragedy that fades into silence, like so many others that have been ignored or forgotten.
