Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that ice cream delivery truck driver, Rey Balmores, shot dead in holdup in Barangay Timbangan in a Mitsubishi L300 Freezer Van.

One person was killed, and two others were injured in a robbery-holdup incident in Barangay Timabangan, Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur, earlier today, Jan. 20,2025. READ MORE HERE
The fatality was identified as Rey Balmores, a resident of Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte. Harris Ampatuan from Shariff Aguak and Reymond Bajas from Masbate City were injured.
According to Captain Jhoey Ryan Jacla, Shariff Aguak town police chief, the victims were traveling in a Mitsubishi L300 freezer van from Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao del Sur, to their office in Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, after delivering ice cream products. Two suspects on separate motorcycles intercepted them and forcibly took a bag containing money before shooting them. Balmores died on the spot.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is investigating the incident, with robbery as the apparent motive.
The Shariff Aguak PNP will intensify checkpoint operations following the shooting, which occurred during the election gun ban.
