On May 25, 2025, the Grapevine community faced a tragic loss with the untimely death of Ava Moore, a 18-year-old who was killed in a hit-and-run jet ski accident while kayaking at Grapevine Lake.
A bright star at Timber Creek High School, Ava graduated in 2024 and recently completed her first year at the Air Force Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, where she was pursuing her dream of military service.
