Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Danish Syed Cafe with 5 other men arrested for beating up a young boy in a room in bully clip at Pasir Gudang Johor in Kluang.
Police have arrested eight suspects in connection with a viral video showing a man being beaten up at an apartment in Masai.
Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the 2min, 7sec video uploaded on Facebook showed a group assaulting a man inside a residential unit.
“The police received a report from the 21-year-old local male victim who claimed the incident occurred at about 9.30pm on April 18 at an apartment in Plentong Baru, Masai,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 22).
ACP Sohaimi said the victim went to the apartment after being invited by a woman he met on social media.
Following a tip-off, police arrested seven men and one woman, aged between 19 and 26, at around 2.30am on Monday (April 21) at the apartment.
“Checks revealed that five of the suspects have criminal and drug-related offences on their records. Four of them also tested positive for methamphetamine,” he said.
All the suspects have been remanded for six days until Saturday (April 26) to assist in investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 342 of the Penal Code for wrongful confinement, Section 385 for extortion, and Section 324 for voluntarily causing hurt using dangerous weapons or means.
