Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Troye Sivan revealed he had a crush on Pierce Abernathy during interview with Vanity Fair.

In classic pop star fashion, Sivan had plenty to say about his fellow musical artists. In April, Sivan posted a TikTok video reacting to Kelly Clarkson’s “Mine,” asking his fans, “What did I do to upset Kelly Clarkson?” He cited lyrics which he misinterpreted as, “Troye Sivan / Who the hell do you think you are?” instead of “Sabotage, your choice of art.” The fictional feud resulted in the pair making nice on Clarkson’s Emmy-winning talk show, and Sivan confirmed that he “did know that” Clarkson was not singing his name, he “just thought it was funny.” When questioned if he enjoyed trolling, Sivan responded, “I do, yeah. That’s one place I really like to lie.”

Troye Sivan reacts to the Vanity Fair lying detector test asking if he thinks he’s a better actor than a certain musician who has tried acting:

“Don’t be who I…”

Her performance as Loretta Castorini in the 1987 romance Moonstruck, where her character was tangled in a love triangle with Nicolas Cage, won her an Oscar. Then there’s, of course, Burlesque where she stars opposite Christina Aguilera. In it, she plays the role of Tess, a former dancer who runs a burlesque lounge.

The film’s Grammy-nominated soundtrack spawned the Cher-led track “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” which won a Golden Globe for the Best Original Song. As one Twitter (or “X”) user said, Sivan “failed the gay test.”

In addition to conquering the pop music scene with “Rush” this year, Sivan also showed off his acting chops again on the Weeknd-led HBO drama The Idol. When asked if he considers himself a better actor than Lady Gaga, Sivan emphatically said, “No… I think she’s better than me for sure.” When asked the same question about Cher, Sivan confessed “I don’t think I have actually seen a movie with Cher in it,” but not before asking whether or not the Oscar-winning Moonstruck actress appeared in Mamma Mia. “I’ve seen, like, two movies, just in general,” he joked.

For what it’s worth, Sivan did admit that he’s not so well-versed in the film space. “I’ve seen like two movies, just in general,” he said. But even if he was unfamiliar with Moonstruck or Burlesque (the disrespect!), Cher has also been in Silkwood, Mask, and Witches of Eastwick, among others.

Sivan is wading into acting himself despite saying he’s only had “like two acting lessons, maybe.” He recently appeared in The Idol where he played Xander, Jocelyn’s (Lily-Rose Depp) creative director. The 28-year-old also, interestingly, explained he would rather win a Grammy than an Oscar, saying the former award is “Superior to me.”
