A man is in custody and has been accused of attacking an employee of McDonald’s in North County. Johnny Ricks, a man from St. Louis II, was initially charged with second-degree assault and property damage.
He was arrested by the St. Louis County Police Department on April 18 around 1:30 p. m. on Olive Boulevard The areas of the city that are along the boulevards have been the most affected by the implementation of this policy. Seven days later, the assault charge was upgraded to first-degree for the aggressiveness of the attack that the victim endured.

St. Louis County police reported that officers were called to the McDonald’s on Parker Road in unincorporated St. Louis County just before 7:00 p.m. on April 7. The caller reported a large group of people fighting, according to the officers.
“Being attacked by a grown man?” asked McDonald’s worker Aryiah Lynch. “I wasn’t prepared for what was about to happen.”
Lynch mentioned that seeing herself caught in the middle of this fast-food brawl was something she never expected. Although the video only shows the incident outside the restaurant, Lynch explained that it began in the drive-thru.
“They were being loud, disruptive, and obnoxious in the drive-thru, so we said, ‘If you want to place your order, come inside,’” Lynch recalled.

Once the customers came inside, they started swinging, throwing objects, and even spitting on at least four McDonald’s employees. “’That’s disgusting, how would you feel if someone spat on you?’” asked Jahmia Stokes, who was also working that day.
“Then he lunged at me and threatened to punch me.” According to a police release, Ricks became upset and destroyed an electronic menu board by throwing a tray at it.
The fight then moved outside, where the video appears to show a man dragging Lynch across the asphalt, slamming her head into the concrete, and eventually hitting her in the face.
Police stated that EMS responded to treat Lynch’s injuries. She went to the hospital with head and nose injuries. “I was just trying to defend myself at the time. I just want him jailed and charged,” said Lynch.

A man with a long criminal record brutally attacked a 15-year-old female McDonald’s worker, dragging her by the hair and repeatedly stomping on her head in the parking lot after a group of rowdy customers incited a brawl inside the restaurant earlier this month, according to police.
Johnny Ricks, 25, was arrested for assault after allegedly grabbing the teen by her hair, dragging her across the restaurant parking lot just outside St. Louis, slamming her head into the concrete, and punching her in the face, St. Louis County Police said.
The girl, identified as Aryiah Lynch on a GoFundMe set up by her family, suffered a fractured skull, a broken nose, and damage to her frontal lobe.

The cowardly April 7 attack was captured in a disturbing video posted on Facebook by Phillips, who wrote that Ricks should be charged with child endangerment or attempted murder.
The fight reportedly began when Ricks, accompanied by a group of unidentified adults, arrived at the drive-thru window and began behaving obnoxiously, according to Lynch’s family.
The group then stormed inside the McDonald’s, menacing the workers, throwing items around, and spitting on “at least four” employees, she said. St. Louis County Police reported that at one point, Ricks became enraged and threw a food tray at an electronic menu screen, destroying it.
The brawl then spilled into the parking lot, with the video showing at least a dozen people, both men and women, grappling and throwing punches.
In the video, a man identified by police as Ricks, who towers over the teen, can be seen dragging her around the parking lot like a ragdoll before raising his foot to nearly waist height and bringing it down on the helpless girl’s head.
