On Wednesday, Banyana Banyana made it into the Women’s World Cup with a 3-2 victory against Italy in their final Group G clash in Wellington, Super Sport reported. During a live video, the Black-ish actor wished the soccer team well after reaching their achievement.
“It’s your boy Anthony Anderson from Black-ish. Wishing the Banyanas Banyanas and telling them congratulations for making it to the last 16; and to the Spar Proteas, Yeah, let’s go tonight, let’s go!” the American actor said.
His commentary had Tweeps in stitches because of how he called the soccer team. They were also curious to know what has kept him in South Africa for this long. Nonetheless, Tweeps were thrilled to see Anderson out and about, and supporting South African sport.
The Proteas will be in presence of Hollywood royalty when they take on New Zealand in their Netball World Cup Group G second round clash at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Wednesday evening.

He has also been praised by locals for being down to earth and mingling with the people. And most recently, he was spotted surrounded by locals, watching a netball game in Western Cape.
