Tributes roll in as Pro Valorant player, Daveeys, has died of organ failure as his cause of death

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Tributes roll in as Pro Valorant player, Daveeys, has died of organ failure as his cause of death.

South American Valorant team, KRÜ Esports, have announced the untimely death of their flex player, Santiago “Daveeys” Ruiz, a day after he celebrated his 23rd birthday. The organization tweeted this incredibly sad news earlier today, and it has stunned the Valorant community to the core. Daveeys was a renowned player in the VCT Americas scene and was a future star in the making, causing his sudden passing much more tragic.

In light of this saddening news, the Valorant community have unanimously shared their solemn thoughts and have offered their sincere condolences to the family of Santiago’s friends and family.

“It is with deep sadness that we have to inform you that, after suffering a decompensation on Sunday, @Daveeys21 passed away.

There is no way to smooth this over, it took us all by surprise.

Daveeys, Santi, was a spectacular player and a first class teammate. With his trademark hard-working humility, he was proud to be able to inspire and represent his country and region at the top of the global VALORANT. It was his dream, and he saw it come true.

All of us at KRÜ accompany their family and friends in this difficult moment, and we ask the entire community to support them with their strength and love.”

According to KRÜ Esports, Santiago died due to “descompensación” which roughly translates to organ failure according to a couple of Reddit comments covering the tragic news. However, there is not enough clarity to confirm the cause of death.

Daveeys played a pivotal role in securing KRÜ’s qualification for Valorant Champions 2023 by clinching victory in the Americas Last Chance Qualifier. Along the journey, they vanquished formidable opponents such as Cloud9 and FURIA. However, their performance in the tournament group stage saw them end up at the lower end of the standings, following defeats to Paper Rex and Giants.
