Top newspapers haven’t confirmed report that Justin Trudeau cheated on Sophie by having an affair with Melanie Joly

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Top newspapers haven’t confirmed report that Justin Trudeau cheated on Sophie by having an affair with Melanie Joly.

Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, has been married to Sophie Gregoire since 2005. In 2023, reports surfaced that the couple was separating, fueling speculations about affairs, including with Melanie Joly, and other personal details. The rumors were further heightened by various stories circulating about Trudeau’s personal life.

But after seven years of Trudeau, the Liberal government is getting old by historical standards. And with an upstart populist in Pierre Poilievre now leading the Conservative opposition, there is talk about turnover.

Days before Poilievre’s triumph, a leak from Trudeau’s Cabinet retreat said he’d advised ministers he planned to guide the Liberals into the next election. Succession whispers died down around Parliament Hill, but they didn’t go away.

If Joly is eyeing the prime minister’s office, she’s not saying it out loud.

The divorce between Sophie Grégoire Trudeau and Justin Trudeau has been officially confirmed. There had been rumors about Trudeau allegedly having an affair with Melanie Joly, the foreign affairs minister, for a time. Many users of social media now think Joly is to blame for his divorce from his wife, Sophie.

Melanie Joly is a member of the Liberal Party and represents the Ahuntsic-Cartierville riding in the Montreal area in the House of Commons. She was elected as an MP in the 2015 federal election. She has held a variety of portfolios, including those for La Francophonie, Tourism, and Canadian Heritage. In the 2013 Montreal municipal election, Joly stood for mayor and finished second to eventual winner Denis Coderre.

Melanie was the first person from Quebec to win the Arnold Edinborough Prize in 2010, which honors humanitarian activity within the Canadian cultural community. She was then chosen to lead the Quebec Advisory Committee for Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party of Canada leadership candidature in 2013.
Clément Joly, an accountant and the father of Joly, served as manager of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority from 2002 to 2007. He also served as head of the Liberal Party of Quebec’s finance committee. Carole-Marie Allard, her stepmother, is a lawyer and journalist who served as the Laval—East MP from 2000 to 2004.

Liberal insiders insist it’s not the time for leadership plans. And yet several people who have worked closely with Joly don’t deny the job is among her ultimate ambitions.

Joly, said one senior adviser, who was granted anonymity to speak freely about a sensitive topic, is a “true Justin Trudeau team player,” suggesting she has every intention of waiting for her boss to decide on his future.
