Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi has been indicted on rape charges, French prosecutors said Friday.
The prosecutor’s office in the Paris suburb of Nanterre said Hakimi was questioned on Thursday by investigators probing rape allegations. He was then indicted by an investigating judge and placed under judicial supervision.
Hakimi is facing preliminary charges of rape. Under French law, that means there is reason to suspect a crime has been committed but it allows magistrates more time to investigate before deciding whether to send the case to trial.

OL, the hosts, managed to reduce the margin through Corentin Tolisso’s 74th-minute penalty kick.
PSG are now second in the Ligue 1 standings with eight points, behind Monaco. Meanwhile, Lyon are bottom of the table with just one point.
