There are just a couple of days to go until Big Brother returns for Season 25. As such, it’s time to meet the latest bunch of Houseguests. They’ve introduced themselves in an incredibly over-the-top video on social media, and there are certainly some standouts. Whether you’ll be rooting for the “strategic girl that works in politics,” “the world’s favorite chill billy,” or someone else entirely, there’s somebody for everybody to get behind. Let’s meet the Big Brother 25 Houseguests…
Felicia Cannon is one of the show’s oldest contestants, at 63. She’s a real estate agent, and will be living with geriatric physician, 45-year-old Hisam Goueli. Professional flutist Izzy Gleicher, 32, has also been cast, as well as 25-year-old truck company owner Jag Bains, and 25-year-old exterminator, Jared Fields.
Molecular biologist Kirsten Elwin is 25-years-old, and illustrator Luke Valentine is 30. Deaflympics gold medalist Matt Klotz, 27, is also among the castmates, with 30-year-old political consultant Mecole Hayes, 37-year-old Red Utley, who works in sales, and 24-year-old bartender Reilly Smedley rounding out the cast.
As always, Big Brother will follow a group of people living together in a house with countless cameras and microphones, recording their every move. Each week, one (or more) Houseguests will be evicted from the house, with the final player standing winning $750,000.
EW can exclusively share the cold open of tonight’s episode, which will air this evening on CBS at 8 p.m. ET. The release of the footage comes on the heels of Big Brother confirming a long-rumored twist: “The #BB25 multiverse will release a mystery 17th [houseguest],” reads a tweet from the official Big Brother Twitter (er, X?) account. “What’s your guess for who it is?”
Cirie competed on the competition series four times including 2006’s Panama, 2008’s Micronesia, 2010’s Heroes Vs. Villains and 2017’s Game Changers. Jared briefly appeared on the Game Changers season as his mom’s loved one.
Despite never winning Survivor, Cirie has been deemed one of the greatest players to have never taken home the million-dollar prize. Earlier this year, Cirie was crowned the champion of another show — the first season of Peacock’s The Traitors. Following her win, Cirie exclusively told Us Weekly about how she is a fan of Big Brother and had dreamed of competing on the series.
While our brains are reeling to figure out who that mystery houseguest might be, lets turn our attention back to the exclusive sneak peek: The billowing voice of Big Brother begins the opening in his traditional manner, welcoming viewers to “a house like no other” and running through the logistics of the production, including 94 cameras and 113 microphones used to capture all the action. But this being a milestone anniversary for the reality competition series, the intro then pivots to a lightning-speed retrospective of the past 24 seasons showcasing the 304 competitors who have entered the house over the years.
Fans flocked to the comments section to share their guesses on the identity of the mysterious houseguest. One popular name mentioned was 53-year Cirie. When the cast was officially announced on Monday, July 31, it was revealed that Cirie’s son Jared was one of the 16 houseguests. Before entering the house, Jared, 25, told fans via an Instagram Reel on the show’s official page that his mom was a “Survivor legend.”
