One of the participants in the “fake electors” plot is recognizing his legal exposure and is cooperating with prosecutors, willing to say he was acting at the direction of none other than Donald Trump.
Georgia Republican Shawn Still was indicted alongside Trump and 17 others, and issued a statement through his attorney that directly implicates Trump as directing the fake electors plot, saying “he signed false papers claiming to be a legitimate presidential elector at Trump’s direction.”
The statements from attorney Thomas Bever adds “Mr. Still, as a presidential elector, was also acting at the direction of the incumbent president of the United States.”
This goes well beyond using his 1st Amendment right to state an opinion that he thinks he won. This is a smoking gun proving that he deliberately intended to overturn the will of the people.
