O’Keefe Media exposed Best Buy’s management training program has excluded white people from applying with “candidates must meet the [racial] requirements” on the form

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that O’Keefe Media exposed Best Buy’s management training program has excluded white people from applying with “candidates must meet the [racial] requirements” on the form.
Information reads: “SHAME? Why did Best Buy CEO Corie Barry take her Twitter acount private? Was it because @OKeefeMedia exposed Best Buy’s management training program has excluded white people from applying with “candidates must meet the [racial] requirements” on the form?”

Retail giant Best Buy is garnering immense backlash on social media. Recently, a memo regarding a professional development program went viral on Twitter. In the same, it revealed that Caucasian people were not allowed to apply for the company’s leadership training.

O’Keefe Media was the first to publicize the viral memo on August 9, 2023. They attached two pictures alongside the tweet that showcased Best Buy’s note to its employees. In the same, the company announced that they were collaborating with McKinsey & Company to offer a three-month Leadership Essentials program. Speaking about the program, the memo noted:

“Participants will gain critical skills that will enhance their leadership through a mini-MBA style curriculum. Topics will include Strategy Development, Critical Thinking, Networking and Problem Solving.”

While Best Buy currently seems to have the largest inventory of PS5 consoles, it’s worth checking out Walmart and Amazon as well. Both online retailers also appear to have restocked both editions of the console. Amazon is offering the original PS5 Console on sale for $449, and they also have renewed Playstation consoles starting at $400.

Amazon and Walmart are not the only retailers offering early access through their membership programs. GameStop’s restocks have been exclusive to Power Up Rewards Pro members, who pay $15 a month for immediate access. The Pro membership includes perks such as a Game Informer subscription, $5 reward coupons per month, and 10% extra trade credit on games and accessories.

Those who wished to apply to the program had to meet the following criteria: must be a salaried Best Buy employee, must have work experience of more than one year in their current Best But role, and also:

“Identify as Black, Latino, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander”. Finding the PS5 in stock has been a challenge, as the console has consistently sold out since its launch. So, getting it on sale is even more rare. We don’t know how long this sale will last, so we recommend adding it to your cart while the offer is still available.

The $50 discount applies to both the standalone console, which comes with one controller, and the Final Fantasy XVI bundle. The bundle includes the PlayStation 5 console, a DualSense wireless controller, base, HDMI cable, AC power cord, USB cable, and Astro’s Playroom pre-installed game.
