Ikeguchi was anti-gay, antivax, antisemitic, anti-choice, and an RFJ Jr. fan.

Travis Ikeguchi, who has been named as Laura Ann Carleton’s killer, was a was a major advocate of interracial marriage.

He seemed obsessed with the idea of Asian men marrying White women.

One of his hobbies appears to have been fighting with and trolling neo-Nazis on gab.

The man who shot and killed a shop owner of her Pride flag in California railed against the LGBTQ community on social media, as his posts have been revealed following his identification by police. 

One post pinned to the top of an account included the image of a Pride flag on fire. ‘We need to STOP COMPROMISING on this LGBT dictatorship and not let them take over our lives! Stop accepting this abomination that the government is forcing us to submit to these mentally disordered tyrants,’ he wrote to accompany the picture.

He appeared to have social media accounts on Gab and Twitter, where a user with his name routinely posted anti-LGBTQ+, anti-abortion, and anti-police content along with conspiracy theories.

A pinned post on his purported account on X, previously known as Twitter, shows a Pride flag on fire.

The day before the shooting, Ikeguchi’s family had reported him missing to the sheriff’s department, officials said.


Ikeguchi, 27, is accused of shooting dead Laura Ann Carleton, 66, on Friday. He was killed by police shortly after the murder that was sparked by Carleton’s display of a Pride flag at her clothing store. 

Carleton, a mother of nine and a fashion and footwear veteran beloved amongst members of the tight-knit mountain community, died ‘for the values she so selflessly stood for’, friends said in a eulogy.

He shared anti-LGBTQ+ posts on social media, authorities said on Monday. In one post on Gab, a platform that has welcomed extremists, Ikeguchi shared a photo of a burning Pride flag.

According to ABC7, he wrote alongside it: “We need to stop compromising on this LGBT dictatorship and not let them take over our lives.”

Dicus said Ikeguchi fired at multiple patrol vehicles with an unregistered semi-automatic handgun before officials fatally shot him.

Ikeguchi, of Cedar Glen, did not have identification on his person and investigators were unable to immediately identify him, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
