Jeffery Lamar Williams, known professionally as Young Thug, was born on August 16, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an American rapper and composer who grew up in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood. He is the 10th child of his parents, being the penultimate to be born. Celebrate his big day with us.
Jeffery Lamar Williams (born August 16, 1991), known professionally as Young Thug, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He is considered to be an influential figure of his generation, with his music impacting the modern sound of hip hop and trap music. Known for his eccentric vocal style and fashion, Thug initially released a series of independent mixtapes beginning in 2011 with I Came from Nothing. In early 2013, he signed with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, and later that year he released his label debut mixtape 1017 Thug to critical praise.
Naturally, the lavish gifts were in abundance — 21 Savage brought him Bottega Veneta watch, while XO’s Amir “Cash” Esmailian got Thugger a spider ring from Eliantte & Co. Even T.I. join in on the goodwill with some high-end art — a set of what looks like pink broken hearts for the So Much Fun rapper to add to his collection.
Out of the many presents received, the most memorable one probably comes from Thug’s own YSL artist Gunna. In video that’s made it way to social media, Young Thug can be seen tossing a liquid-filled cup upon seeing a bright pink Bentley Continental GT Convertible.
