Somizi’s fiancé, Pholoso Mohlala, dumped him to rekindle his romance with his baby mama.
The Masked Singer SA judge and the businessman made headlines in 2022 after Mhlongo hinted about their engagement.
He also hosted an all-star gala dinner in celebration of Mohlala’s birthday at Just Cuban Lounge in Hatfield, Pretoria in May.
At the time, close friends revealed that the pair is due to walk down the aisle in September.
However, Sunday World has learnt that everything crumbled when Mohlala and the mother of his child decided to work on their relationship.
A friend of the couple, who asked not to be named, revealed that Mohlala dumped Somgaga, as Mhlongo is fondly known, like a hot potato shortly after the birth of his child.
“The lady who Pholoso has a child with lost her mother a few months back. It was a very tense time for her,” said the deep throat.
Somizi hints at a romance, even announcing that he will be walking down the aisle before his 50th birthday Somizi Mhlongo turned 50 years old in 2022, and to mark his milestone, he announced that he would get married. The mole added that the pair is also in the process of purchasing a new house together at an exclusive estate in Kyalami, Johannesburg.
“They will be moving in to the house together in the next few months. They are really happy and they are moving to acquire assets together to solidify their union,” said another friend.
Mohlala and Mhlongo were not immediately available for comment as they did not answer calls and failed to respond to text messages sent to them.
The news publication stated: “He left Somizi around that time and started to focus more on his relationship with her.” Somizi and Mohlala allegedly met when the said baby mama was pregnant.
