TwitchCon venue staff kicked out after female streamers accuse him of sexual harassment

A venue crew member at TwitchCon Rotterdam was removed from the event after he was filmed allegedly sexually harassing female streamers.

TwitchCon Europe took place in Rotterdam from May 31 to June 1, and many of the platform’s top streamers were in attendance.

The show featured a slew of announcements, including the introduction of vertical streams and a new paywalled Rewind feature coming to the site – but not every part of the con was smooth sailing.

During the convention, streamer ‘Jessick’ encountered a member of the event’s crew while broadcasting, and the situation was incredibly awkward, to say the least.

TwitchCon venue staff accused of sexually harassing streamer

During a stream at Twitchcon, Jessick started talking with someone who worked as part of the event’s venue crew. While this person wasn’t Twitch Staff, their conduct left the streamer very disturbed.

In a post on X, Jessick documented the situation in a video in which a crew member grabbed her back. When she turned around to speak with the man, he said he wanted to say hello to her viewers.

“Do you also think we’re a great couple together?” he asked the chat. “They say ‘no.’ Okay, thank you guys.”

After learning Jessick was from Canada, he replied, “I’ve always wanted to date a girl from Canada. I don’t know if it’s gonna be you yet.”

Eventually, the man let the streamer into the venue and when she was by herself, she revealed her true thoughts.

“I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt. I was like, ‘Maybe he’s just like that.’ But then he said ‘We’re a cute couple.’ I was almost certain when he came up to me he was my friend, because he grabbed my back. I got really touched.”

If that wasn’t bad enough, Jessick also claimed that in addition to being sexually harassed by the crew member, a “scary man” had followed her into an elevator and up to her room.

A few hours after posting, fellow Twitch streamer Meowko revealed she had been harassed by the same venue staff member and had managed to get his name.

“He was removed [don’t worry]. Twitch staff actually were the ones that helped me. This guy was crew,” Jessick followed up.

This isn’t the first time streamers have reported unwanted advances at TwitchCon. In 2022, Amouranth’s security was forced to act after stalkers showed up to San Diego TwitchCon and started following her.

In 2024, Nmplol was disgusted after a Kick streamer allegedly touched him inappropriately during the middle of a broadcast.
