Twitch streamer Lil Gara, real name Timothy Brooks, has been arrested in Miami on multiple serious charges, including kidnapping with a weapon and burglary with assault, nearly a year after he went viral for discovering his then-girlfriend’s infidelity live on stream.
The arrest, documented on the Miami Dade County Mugshots Facebook page, lists Brooks’ charges as:
- Kidnapping with a weapon, firearm, or aggravated battery (Domestic Violence)
- Burglary with assault or battery – PBL (Punishable by Life) (Domestic Violence)
- Carrying a concealed weapon
Lil Gara, aged 20, made headlines last year when a clip of him realizing his girlfriend was cheating, while broadcasting on Twitch, spread rapidly across social media.
Following the arrest, an Instagram account belonging to Indiyabb posted an image of the arrest record along with a caption stating:
“I’m back, thank you for everyone who checked up on me while I went through something very traumatic, which almost caused me to lose my life. Story time tomorrow on stream. I love yall.”
At the time of writing, Brooks remains in custody, and bond has not yet been set.
Indiyabb is expected to speak further on the incident during a stream, where she has promised to share more details about what she described as a near-death experience.
