The ambitious RPG, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, has 100 different endings to find, but the creator isn’t happy with that lowly figure and wants to add even more.
The Hundred Line initially flew under the radar when it arrived back in April, but it still made headlines for its enticing story, which features 100 unique endings depending on which decisions and routes you choose. There’s so much dialogue that the script alone was long enough to fill 60 novels.
You might think that it’d be possible to pack any more into a single game, but its creator actually wants to squeeze more endings into the already dense story.
The Hundred Line creator isn’t content with 100 endings
Kazutaka Kodaka, who is also known for his work on the Danganronpa series, replied to a fan on X to confirm that he wants to incorporate more different endings through post-launch DLC.
When asked if the future updates would simply be fixes and improvements, he responded:
“We are working on bug fixes and improvements. As for me, I also want to do DLC with additional routes.”
Unfortunately, he didn’t offer any insight as to what these additional routes will look like or who they will focus on. But even though finding every outcome is already a huge task, players are clearly hungry for more.
“The premise of Hundred Line really lends itself to do more DLC,” said one excited fan in the replies. “I’m so curious and excited to see what other scenarios you can come up with.”
“Would immediately buy up that DLC!” added another.
If you’re new to The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy and want to catch up in time for the DLC, you’ll have your work cut out for you. It takes an average of 178 hours to see everything, and that’s without the new content Kodaka is cooking up.
