Popular actress Sydney Sweeney has announced that she’ll start selling her used bathwater after fan demand, following in the footsteps of successful influencers.
Selling bathwater isn’t anything new. Internet personality and cosplayer Belle Delphine first broke the internet back in 2019 when she started bottling her bathwater for thirsty fans and selling bottles for $30.00 a pop.
Kick and Twitch star Amouranth also followed this trend, selling her own bathwater from her hot tub streams, and even wanted to take it a step further by selling ‘Gamer Girl Bath Water’ energy drinks.
Now, Sydney Sweeney is the latest star to jump into the bathwater craze and announced her product in an Instagram post on May 29.
Sydney Sweeney reveals how she’s selling her bathwater
Back in 2024, Sydney Sweeney starred in ads for natural soap company Dr Squatch where the actress played the role of a ‘Body Wash Genie.’
According to Sweeney, after one of her ads ‘Dirty Little Boys’ in which she appeared in a bathtub, fans couldn’t stop asking about her bathwater.
The company says that after they released the ad, they opted to keep the water from the bath.
Not wanting to leave her fans thirsty, the actress and Dr Squatch, decided to oblige by releasing a soap.
“Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater,” she said.
The product is set to launch on June 6, 2025 and fans are already going wild over it, ready to fork over their cash.
“Thanks, I’ll take 100,” one commented.
“I need it!” another chimed in.
Only 5,000 bars are planned to be released. So far, it’s not known how much they will sell for, but given the fan demand, don’t expect to see this remain on shelves for very long.
