A bizarre butt-controlled fighting game has received an unexpected buff on Switch 2. Now, players can destroy their opponents with the increased power of their buttocks.
Unlike other fighting games like Street Fighter 6, Ketsu Battler throws combos out the window. Instead, players must place their Joy-Con in the back of their pants (that’s trousers for you UK readers), and take down their opponents by shaking their derriere like they just don’t care.
However, the stakes are incredibly high as one precise posterior strike is all that’s needed to land the knockout blow. The 1v1 matches are as intense as they are comical, with characters flying through the air and trading blows with clenched swords.
However, Ketsu Battler brawlers have discovered one major flaw when playing on Switch 2 – the butts are just too strong.
Butt-controlled game gets huge buff on Switch 2
The Switch 2 brings both free and paid updates to various games, with the likes of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and Super Mario Odyssey all receiving boosts to their performance and visuals.
However, Ketsu Battler players were surprised to see that the Switch 2 has had an unexpected impact on the 1v1 butt battles. As outlined by Automaton, players have now discovered that the sword swings are speedier and the special move gauge builds up faster, leading to more chaotic fights than ever before.
While not a bad thing for those looking for even more frantic fights, the devs have revealed that they are aware of the posterior problem.
“It has been confirmed that when playing ‘Ketsu Battler’ on the Switch 2, the butts become stronger than expected,” wrote the devs.
“This is thought to be due to the hardware performance being too high, but since it will take time to verify, we would appreciate it if you could enjoy the Extreme Ketsu Battle Edition on the Switch 2 for a while.”
So, it looks as though this butt-related buff was accidental and simply brought about by the increased power of the Switch 2. While the devs didn’t outline when the patch would be dropping, for now, Switch 2 players have a comically OP advantage.
