King Misuzulu KaZwelithini has been given a fully furnished house in Kwa-Zulu Natal province by a businessman. While presenting the house, he said it is the responsibility of every Zulu person to give something to the king.

Following this presentation of the house to King Misuzulu KaZwelithini by the Kwa-Zulu Natal businessman, critics said this house should have been given to the people who have no shelter.

ANC member in the Kwa-Zulu Natal province, Nathi Sithole argued that the businessman is opening himself up for public scrutiny. Sithole said the title deeds of the house should have been send to the king without this public showoff.

“We have no business to even know who donated it. The man should have just sent the tittle deed or whatsoever to the king as part of the gift to the king, they are opening up to an unnecessary public scrutiny,” he said.

Others, however, said they do not see anything wrong with what the businessman did as he has always been a friend of the king. “Ngwenya has always been a friend to the King and I see nothing wrong with his public display especially alongside his message encouraging the Zulu nation to help each other out.”
