Popular TV and radio personality, Thando Thabethe, has disclosed to The Citizen that her legal representatives are currently addressing a dispute concerning an unsettled bill for a purported surgery. The matter revolves around a reported unpaid aesthetic procedure bill and has taken an interesting turn, with Vivari Hotel and Aesthetic pursuing a lawsuit worth R5 million against TV producer Tumi Maimela and Redwood Productions.
The legal action was reportedly instigated due to the alleged unpaid aesthetic procedures, not only for Thando Thabethe but also for Tumi Maimela. The production company, Redwood Productions, co-founded by Thando and Tumi, is associated with TV show projects such as “Unstoppable Thabooty.”  In response to inquiries from The Citizen, both Thando and Tumi were approached for comments. Thando Thabethe indicated that the issue has been handed over to their legal team for resolution.
Reportedly, the dispute revolves around the agreement between the parties and the aesthetic procedures undertaken. Vivari Hotel and Aesthetic allegedly performed surgeries, including a liposuction surgery for Thando and a range of procedures for Tumi.
These procedures were supposedly exchanged for the promise of the reality show, “Unstoppable Thabooty,” featuring segments filmed at the Vivari Hotel, and granting airtime to the hotel and the aesthetic doctor. However, according to claims, only a fraction of the total bill was settled.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the situation highlights the complex intersection of entertainment, business, and contractual obligations in the world of media personalities and their associated ventures.
