Gauteng Chairperson of the African National Congress, Panyaza Lesufi, has openly criticised the recently formed Multi-Party Charter, denouncing it as a “gang of losers.”
The ANC bigwig did not mince his words as he shared his opinion on the Multi-Party Charter, a coalition of opposition parties that recently announced their intent to unseat the ANC from power in the upcoming 2024 elections. In a strongly-worded statement, Lesufi urged each political party to “stand for what it believes in” and refrain from attempting to “hide under a group.”
Lesufi said the pact is not sustainable and it is a tacit admission by the respective parties that they cannot win an election on their own.
