A minister in the presidency has allegedly threatened to deal with ANC NEC member, Mdu Manana during a confrontation that took place at Nasrec where the ANC Women’s League are having an elective conference.
The two ANC comrades exchanged words with each other in front of delegates. It is not clear what sparked the confrontation, but critics expressed their disappointment that ANC leaders have resorted to issuing threats at each other like that in front of delegates.
Reacting to this incident, ANC comrade in Kwa-Zulu Natal province, Nathi Sithole said the confrontation between the minister in the Presidency and Mdu Manana is a clear indication that the centre is not holding.
He said it signifies that there is a fight between the ANC top leadership, and comrades have already taken sides. Factionalism within ANC is still rife.
“This tells you there is a fight between Mbalula and Cyril already. Mdu is from Mbalula, our favourite is from the Presidency obvious,” said Nathi Sithole.
