Johannesburg – The African Diaspora Forum (ADF) has urged Zimbabweans to vote with deliberation in the upcoming national elections.
According to reports, the individual in the photo is a Zimbabwean who will vote in Zimbabwe in August. The fact that he will be able to vote in South Africa in 2024 demonstrates how fortunate Zimbabweans are.
A spokesperson for the ADF, Ngqabutho Mabhena, stated that the forum remained apolitical but urged all eligible voters to make an informed choice.
Zimbabwe: eleven candidates will vie for election in August.
The economically troubled nation is expected to hold elections on August 23.
“The ADF in Zimbabwe desires elections conducted in accordance with the SADC’s guidelines for holding free and fair elections.” The ADF is apolitical and does not support any of the competing parties, but it does want an environment conducive to free and fair elections,” Mabhena explained.
Zimbabweans in South Africa have experienced intermittent bouts of xenophobic tension with natives for years. The termination of the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP) prompted some South Africans who felt that Zimbabweans were stealing their employment to post vicious comments on social media.
However, the ADF reported that the Zimbabwean situation was so dire that many Zimbabweans had fled to South Africa in search of greener pastures.
“The difficulty is unemployment; this is why thousands of Zimbabweans reside in South Africa.” “There are no greener pastures in South Africa, which is why you see people crossing the border in search of employment,” said Mabhena.
Mabhena criticized the remarks of certain ANC officials who attributed Zimbabwe’s problems to the United States and Europe.
He stated that the problems in Zimbabwe were more complicated than Western interference.
“The ANC must comprehend the dual nature of the Zimbabwean conflict. The source of the conflict in Zimbabwe is the plunder of the state by Zanu-PF and imperialists.
