Leaked document fuels tensions in Botswana

A leaked document has exposed some Sheree torture in Botswana.

It is alleged that the document was drafted by the Botswana Directorate of Intelligence and Security (DIS) to discredit exiled former president Ian Khama.

Khama is currently in exile in South Africa after his bitter feud with current president Mokgweetsi Masisi failed to reach amicable resolutions.

It is reported that the leaked document has now fueled some tensions in that country.

Meanwhile, Butale’s suspended NEC members have since launched a spirited smear campaign against their embattled president, levelling a series of damning allegations against him.

Topping the list of accusations is that Butale has been recruited by the DIS as a Trojan horse to destroy BPF from within for the benefit of the ruling party

His detractors have even claimed that in return, Butale has been rewarded with a brand new house in Block 10.

According to a leaked conversation from the BPF’S National Executive Committee (NEC) Whatsapp group, a certain Dr Malefho has accused Butale of having received some money from the DIS following a secret meeting that Butale allegedly had with President Mokgweetsi Masisi in Jwaneng a week ago.

Malefho also alleged that there was a video of the said meeting between Butale and President Masisi. He further peddled claims that there is a witness who attended all the meetings where the mission to destabilise the BPF from within was being hatched.

Malefho has further alleged that Butale has been paid to make sure there is consistent instability in the BPF and by extension the Umbrella for Democratic Change until the general elections in 2024.

Butale was also alleged to have received P2,500 to organise a smear campaign against certain members of his own party using the media.
